The wine regions in Chile’s central zone are home to some of the country’s oldest and finest wineries, and many have maintained their cellars just as they were when first founded in the 19th century. The red wines produced in these regions are world-renowned. Chile’s cool-climate coastal regions are famous for their fresh white wines, elegant Pinot Noirs, and some impressive cool-climate reds.

Today we will visit Almaviva, a winery that makes one of Chile’s finest wines in an exclusive joint venture between Mouton Rothschild and Viña Concha y Toro. We will tour the unforgettable vineyards, grounds, and facilities and taste the fantastic Almaviva wine, Chile’s first premium red blend – Next is a private tour and premium wine tasting at Pérez Cruz, an exclusive winery that produces top quality red wines. Its modern wine cellar features a unique and beautiful design that harmonizes with its surroundings – Our final stop for the day is Santa Rita, where we will visit the old cellar and the Andean Museum, which has a valuable private collection of archeological pieces and pre-Columbian arts and crafts, followed by a gourmet lunch at the winery’s restaurant accompanied by their wines – Return to your hotel in Santiago – Overnight at the luxury hotel in Santiago
Today we will visit the Aconcagua Valley, a 1.5-hour ride north of Santiago – Private visit and wine tasting at Von Siebenthal, a small family project focused on premium red wines – Then we visit Errázuriz, where we will have a leisurely walk through the vineyards; this is a fun and easy trail – After our walk, we will enjoy an interesting tour of the cellar facilities, followed by a private lunch at the winery – Next we head to Valparaiso, one of South America’s oldest port cities – Explore Valparaiso, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It sprawls over the 32 hills that surround the bay, and until 1930 it was the country’s most important trading center – Valparaiso city tour to discover its historic sites and the charming “elevators” that take residents up and down the steep hills – Check-in and evening at leisure to enjoy the hotel’s facilities (spa, restaurant) or the beautiful sunset over the Pacific Ocean – Overnight at the luxury hotel in Valparaiso
Today we will visit the Casablanca and San Antonio Valleys, famous for their premium white wines and cool-climate reds including Pinot Noir and Syrah. After breakfast and check-out, depart to the Casablanca Valley for a private visit and premium wine tasting at Loma Larga, a family project focused on fine coastal cool-climate reds (Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir) and whites (Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay). The winery’s sommelier will guide you through the wine cellar and vineyards – Continue to the Kingston Family Winery, where we will taste one of the best Sauvignon Blancs and Pinot Noirs in the valley, followed by a gourmet picnic lunch – Our last stop will be Matetic, an exclusive winery that makes fine wines from 100% organic grapes. During our stay you will see a Chilean hacienda and a modern wine cellar inserted into the natural surroundings with spectacular views of the vineyards – Check-in and private dinner at Matetic Guest House
After breakfast and check-out, we will drive to the village of Lo Abarca for a private premium wine tasting at Casa Marin, a beautiful little family winery. Meet Marilu Marin or a member of her family – Then it’s on to your final destination, Colchagua Valley (Apalta) – Lunch and check-in at Residence Casa Lapostolle (Relais & Chateaux), followed by a private tour and premium wine tasting at Clos Apalta, where they make the famous Clos Apalta wine, which not only is regularly included on Wine Spectator’s Top 100 list, but whose 2005 vintage was named its Wine of the Year – At leisure until your private dinner accompanied by Casa Lapostolle’s best wines
After breakfast and check out, we will visit Neyen, one of Chile’s oldest wineries, where we will enjoy a private wine tasting of Neyen wine, an elegant Cabernet-Carmenere blend – Continue on for a private tour, premium wine tasting and gourmet lunch at the Altair Winery, where we will have spectacular views of the Cachapoal Valley and the Andes Mountains – Return to Santiago and check-in at the luxury hotel in Santiago
After breakfast and check-out, depart from your hotel for a city tour through Santiago’s historic downtown and surrounding areas – visit one of the city’s most colorful and interesting food markets, where your local guide will show you some of the country’s most distinctive fruits and vegetables – Lunch at local restaurant – At leisure until your airport transfer for the return flight home – End of the trip
