Meet and greet your guide at the Santiago airport and private transfer to your hotel, which is located in a charming and quiet residential neighborhood close to restaurants and shops – Afternoon at leisure – In the evening, before our welcome dinner, we will go over the trip itinerary and have an introduction to the Chilean wine regions, including organic & biodynamic agriculture, given by a wine expert – Overnight at the luxury hotel in Santiago
After breakfast, depart for a city tour through Santiago’s historic downtown and surrounding areas – Visit one the most colorful and interesting food markets in central Santiago, where your local guide will show you some of Chile’s distinctive fruits and vegetables – Continue to the town of Pirque (20 miles from Santiago), where we will visit the Escuela Ecológica, a unique school set in a 19th-century villa that teaches students organic farming and ecological practices – After a gourmet lunch, we will take a tour of the farm to see how their goat cheese is made and visit the organic vegetable garden and their beehives – Return to the hotel in Santiago and free time to enjoy the hotel facilities and restaurants on your own – Overnight at the luxury hotel in Santiago
After lunch, depart for a private tour and organic wine tasting at the Antiyal Winery, a small family-owned winery that produces top-quality organic and biodynamic reds – Lunch at the Santa Rita winery restaurant – Continue to the De Martino Winery guided by the winemaker. This is a Chilean-Italian family winery and pioneer producing organic and “Terroir” wines – Return to the hotel in Santiago and dinner on your own – Overnight at the luxury hotel in Santiago
After breakfast & check-out – Visit the Emiliana Winery, the largest organic winery in the world and Chile’s largest producer of biodynamic wines – Gourmet lunch – We head next for Valparaiso, one of South America’s oldest port cities – Check-in at the hotel in Valparaiso – Free time to enjoy the hotel facilities and dinner on your own – Overnight at the luxury hotel in Valparaiso
After breakfast & check-out, depart for Casablanca Valley for a private visit at Kingston Family Vineyards, where you will taste some of the best Sauvignon Blancs and Pinot Noirs from Chile – Continue to the San Antonio Valley where we will tour and enjoy a gourmet lunch & wine tasting at Matetic, an exclusive winery that makes fine wines from 100% organic grapes. During our stay you will see a Chilean hacienda and a modern wine cellar set in the natural surroundings with spectacular views of the vineyards – Check-in, dinner and overnight at the Matetic Guest House
After breakfast and check-out, we drive about 3 hours south to the Cachapoal & Colchagua Valleys. Similar to the Maipo Valley, those regions produces some of the country’s best red wines, including Carmenere, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Merlot – Visit & wine tasting at the Koyle Winery, one of Chile’s easternmost wineries and one of the only ones in the Andean sector of the Cachapoal Valley – Lunch and check-in at Residence Casa Lapostolle (Relais & Chateaux), followed by a private tour and premium wine tasting at Clos Apalta Winery, where they make the famous Clos Apalta wine, which is regularly included on Wine Spectator’s Top 100 list and named its Wine of the Year (2005 vintage) – At leisure until your private dinner accompanied by Casa Lapostolle’s finest wines
After breakfast and check-out, we will visit the Neyen Winery, one of Chile’s oldest vineyards and enjoy a private wine tasting of Neyen wine, an elegant Cabernet-Carmenere blend – Lunch – Continue northward for a private tour and premium wine tasting at Altair Winery where we have spectacular views of the Colchagua Valley and the Andes Mountains – We head next to Santiago airport for the return flight home – End of the trip
